Lazy Autumn Sunday
Since arriving at Hult, I may have underestimated how busy I was going to be, from classes to group projects, to clubs, to social life. I’ve never been that person who was constantly busy. I have friends who stay so busy, sometimes I need to pencil in my time with them a month in advance...(really!). We live in a society that regularly tells us to keep moving and don’t stop. A society that has planned out our life down to every milestone. Sometimes I don’t always want to think about what I need to do next. I mean, understand why it’s important to ponder those questions, but occasionally I just need a day; a day to reflect and regain all of the energy that was drained from me.
Sundays are a day for me to press pause on my hectic life and get lost in my own world. (Sometimes I even turn off my phone! I know, crazy right?) I burn candles, open my windows to let in the crisp fall air and listen to some of my favorite songs. Mellow tunes that allow me to forget what I was stressing over the week before and simply just be. To me personal time is incredibly important, it keeps you sane. When you are surrounded by so many energies it can make you feel overwhelmed and exhausted. So here is my way of helping you do that with some of my favorite fall songs below. Remember, it’s okay to slow down, take a moment and look up, you might just see something amazing. I hope you have a happy lazy Sunday.
