Hult Boston Global Ambassadors

We as ambassadors are normal students like you. Our goal is to represent and share our perspectives on the authentic experience you will have at Hult. Many of us have traveled thousands of miles to be here and are committed to investing in our futures.  We all chose to be ambassadors because we are passionate about Hult, but also about the global generation. Our generation!

We make interesting and informative content for current, past, and prospective students. You can check out our blogs and vlogs, all on Hult Blog and social media. We also post on Instagram and Twitter, attend Open Houses, and even connect and chat with prospective students who have questions about Hult.

All of us have unique views, talents, and skills that make us diverse individuals but also help us work together as a team. Our culture is what shapes and influences our behavior and here at Hult, we use it to connect and understand our fellow Hultians.

1. What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?

I don’t believe in luck. I believe in creating in your own luck by acting on opportunities and overcoming certain challenges.

2. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Surprised? Believe me, it is nature at its best. From the Grand Teton National Park to Yellowstone National Park, incredible views at every turn!

3. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Travel solo to an unknown destination. You are more prone to stepping out of your comfort zone, meeting new people and embracing a new culture.

1. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

I had the opportunity to visit Alaska in my last job. It was an incredible experience.

2. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Travel to a new place alone. It’s a good opportunity to know more about yourself.

3. How would you make the world a better place?

Acting with empathy. If everybody tries to take someone's perspective the world would be a better place.

1. What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see?

Prior to study my MBA, I decided to donate my hair to an NGO for children with cancer. For me, this was one of the best experience I have had, because with that I was able to contribute to several children happiness.

2. How would you make the world a better place?

When we consider others rather than just thinking about ourselves, eliminate the bias, and understand the benefits that diversity brings. We will create a better place not only for us also for the following generations

3. What’s your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is Christmas. In Mexico we spend a lot of time with our families, friends and celebrate Christmas preparations with Posadas and dinners.

1. How would I make the world a better place?

I think it should be easier to travel around the world to get to know new cultures and people while leaving your comfort zone far behind to grow as a person. My team from our startup connme. and I are currently developing an app to contribute to this vision so that everyone can enjoy a “glocalized” travel experience.

2. Favorite Book?

My favorite book is definitively “Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson, since it is truly inspiring how Jobs managed to get through hard times. When it comes down to movies, my favorite one would be “Wall Street - Money never sleeps” with Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf.

3. What keeps you up at night?

What keeps me up at night are always the projects that need to be aced the next day. Whether it is a group assignment in school or the next strategic idea we try to implement in our startup, I like to think things through. Besides that, I actually enjoy brainstorming at night when everything is quiet around me. I find myself to be more creative when I am tired, so that it is a win-win situation.

1. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

The most interesting place I've been has to be inside The Vatican. There was something quite eerie and calming about the city. It very surreal to be standing in a place that has controlled much of European history. Also, the Sistine Chapel was breathtaking.

2. How would you make the world a better place?

I don't believe that one human being can change the world, but I think trying to be an overall better person each and every day is a good start in the right direction.

3. Come up with a movie title to best describe your life?

The Awkward Misadventures of Terry

1. What’s your favorite holiday and why?

Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday! I love spending time with family.

2. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Go bungee jumping, it’s super scary when you are standing on the edge but the adrenaline rush is amazing. If not bungee jumping at least skydiving it’s a must do! The feeling is just absolutely amazing!

3. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

It’s so hard to choose! But it would be either have to be Australia or New Zealand. A part that these countries are absolutely stunning, they made me the person I am today. (I know it sounds super cliché) but when I was 18 years old I dropped out of my law studies and decided to travel around.

Once, when I was in high school, I did a backflip and none of my friends were there to see it! Still my greatest achievement ever though

2. What something everyone should know about you?

First of all, people should know that AJ DOESN’T SHARE FOOD and I’m a really nice guy

3. Your ideal weekend?

I’ve always been a simple guy and it doesn’t take a lot to make me happy. A perfect weekend for me consists of a perfect weather, sipping perfectly made coffees, surrounded by the perfect company.

1. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

I think everyone should do a solo trip and go scuba diving at least once in your life. Both experiences will make you learn a lot about yourself, but also upon completing those experiences you will be a different person, see the world from a different perspective.

2. What’s your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is Christmas, everybody is happy, families get together, the atmosphere is amazing, and guess what? There is FOOD, like a lot of food, the best food ever.

3. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

During my undergrad I went to Malaysia for 2 months, there I had the most incredible experiences of my life. I swam in waterfalls, got to meet a bunch of people from all over the world, traveled all over Malaysia and also stayed in a rural village for a week. That was for sure the most challenging experience of my life, no running water, no electricity, no phone signal, nothing that us millennials are used to, but now looking back to it, I can affirm that this was probably the best trip I have

1. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

In 2014, I had a job trip to China and I did not lose the opportunity to visit the Great Wall of China. It was such an incredible experience to be in one of the world’s most iconic sights and must-see attractions and to feel the real Chinese devotion to protect its empire's borders against the invasions of various nomadic groups thousands of years ago!

2. How would you make the world a better place?

I would convince one person every day to be a better human being by volunteering, donating blood, donating used clothing, fostering an animal, joining a bone marrow registry, recycling, giving more hugs, smiling, being kind, spreading love or other small actions. The beauty of life is at the smallest things. Together we are stronger, together we can go farther and together we can help make the world a better place.

3. What is your favorite movie of all time?

My favorite movie is “The Pursuit of Happyness”. It tells the true story of Chris Gardner, a San Francisco salesman struggling to build a future for himself and his 5-year-old son. When his girlfriend Linda walks out, Chris is left to raise his son on his own. Chris' determination finally pays off when he lands an unpaid internship in a brutally competitive stockbroker-training program, where only one in twenty interns will make the cut. But without a salary, Chris and his son are evicted from their apartment and are forced to sleep on the streets, in homeless shelters and even behind the locked doors of a metro station bathroom. With self-confidence and the love and trust of his son, Chris Gardner rises above his obstacles to become a Wall Street legend. It is a really inspiring story of never giving up your dreams when you really believe they can come true!
